Hi everyone, Hope you're all settling in to the unit well by now. For those new to Macquarie, hopefully you're finding your feet and starting to enjoy being part of this vibrant community. In Week 2, we made a great start on our first module: Ethics, Governance and Justice. I have seen some fascinating discussions around the disjunction between what is legal and what is just. Keep up the good work! In Week 3, we will deepen our understanding of this theme. We will also consider our Northern Territory Intervention case study from the perspective of another discipline within the Faculty of Arts: Criminology and Security Studies. Next week we will also look at a second case study for the module: LGBTQIA+ rights. You will listen to a fascinating guest lecture from Dr Leigh Boucher, who teaches in the Modern History department.
